STUDENT SUCCESS STORIES
-
Deb just missed out on graduating from
high school. After several false starts she enrolled in the
TTC program – her first step to becoming a licensed Physical
Therapist’s Assistant. Accepting her CCRI diploma, she had
“such a rush of pride” knowing that she was the first in her
family to graduate from college. Now, she lives her dream
“simply to go out . . . and care for individuals in need of
help.”
-
Dilma dreams of a successful career in
“Law and Order”. She credits much of her success to her
“stubbornness” and now with her Associates Degree in
Criminal Justice in hand, she “pushes” to “make English her
primary language” and learn more about the law.
-
John, a young man from Haiti had few
credentials, but he was willing to work hard. He found his
way to TTC, threw himself into his studies, and used his
commitment and enthusiasm to become an occupational therapy
assistant. He works to ease the pain and suffering of people
in need of his skills, humor, and professionalism.
-
Toni, a housewife and mother, always
wanted to go to college but needed a little push to get
started on what she calls her “wonderful journey”. A journey
that took her from TTC to a full time student in CCRI’s
Applied Science program; now, she has a carefully laid out
plan to become a biotechnology technician. She “will not
give up, will work hard and will achieve her goals”.
