Since March, it seems like everything has just stopped! For sure, as the months pass by, the coronavirus has changed us all. So many fears and concerns about the future. People ask when things will be normal again. How long will this quarantine last? Will my plans about school need to change? Can I learn virtually? Questions and more questions linger, as we all forge ahead trying to figure out what comes next…

As I look out my window in early March, the trees are barren, the garden looks deserted, and the sun does not always shine. But today, what I saw gave me hope – small yet weak flower stems poking out of the ground looking for the sun.

As I reflect on this quote and as the solstice passes with the days just a little longer now, I am reminded of our recent December graduates whose future college classes are just ahead of them, and of our team having prepared them well this past semester.

Finally, we feel the warmth of spring although a bit later than we’d like.  As I look outside, the beautiful yellow daffodils have finally bloomed, such a bright spot in the season of new beginnings. As they lay beneath the soil during the long, cold winter, they always commit to blooming again.
