First Step: Transition to
College
Are you
serious about going back to school? If so, Transition
to College is the right place to start. I am a former
student of Transition to College, and not only has it kept
me motivated, but it has also enabled me to set my academic
goals within a realistic time frame. Potential college
students should attend Transition to College for several
reasons.
First, you
are going to find teachers and mentors, who are very
capable, remarkable, and dedicated to preparing you for
college life. They will go beyond their duties to encourage
students to pursue college despite their pupils' busy lives.
For example, they will be concerned about your learning
accomplishments and will assist you in anything you need to
succeed in the program. They help you to define your
academic purpose, give you accurate financial aid
information, education counseling, and much more. In return,
students must attend class regularly and should give their
share of effort so they can, in fact, be successful in this
program.
Second,
Transition to College has a pleasant learning environment
that would accommodate students in the best way possible. It
has comfortable classrooms with small numbers of students,
which enable teachers to assist each one of them
individually according to their needs. Furthermore, the
program also has much great resource accessible to students,
which are very useful. Among one of the resources is the use
of the computer lab, which enables students to build their
computer skills. This is especially important because
college requires use of computer for research papers and
Microsoft Word. Another good example of what Transition to
College provides, is great academic support while building
your self‑confidence and therefore, creating a
positive attitude.
Last,
students should attend Transition to College because they
will meet new friends with the same goals. While I was in
the program, I met a very great group of people. In many
ways, we became like a family. We helped one another in
school projects, met for group studies, and even celebrated
each other birthdays.
Transition to
College has put me on the right path of college success.
Therefore, I would advice you to attend Transition to
College also so you can benefit from diverse opportunities
and support that it will offer you.
