
This is a free semester long program for adults who meet entrance requirements
Students are accepted into the program based upon their motivation and commitment to personal and academic success, and a strong desire to enter college
English fluency in reading, writing, listening, and speaking is essential
Students should test at a 9th grade reading and math level or above
GED or high school diploma, or high school credentials from their native country
Proof of US citizenship or Permanent Residency

Students will have the opportunity to attend a Reading and Study Skills class at CCRI while earning 3 college credits toward their Associate Degree
Students will attend writing and math classes
Students will attend workshops in Career Development, Basic Computer, Introduction to College, Financial Aid, Study Skills, Time and Stress Management, Academic Advising, Peer Tutoring, Career Counseling, Goal Setting, and Mentoring
Students will learn strategies to build confidence and promote success
Students will learn self-advocacy skills
Academic counseling will be offered to support students in their academic, career, and personal goals

A strong desire to enter college and a good Academic Image
Motivation and commitment to succeed
Good Attendance, Participation, and Completion of Assignments and Tests
